Our Policies
Cancellations
Guests must cancel their reservation by 12:00pm at least 7 days before the date of arrival to receive a full refund (10 Days for arrival dates between September 1 and October 31). If a reservation is cancelled after the cancellation period, we will make every effort to re-book your room and will offer a refund if possible, less any processing fees.
Payment
Upon booking your reservation, The Cabot Lodge will pre-authorize the total amount due to verify your credit card. We will charge the total amount due to that credit card 7 days (10 days in Sept/Oct) prior to your arrival date. If the credit card is declined, you must provide us with a new valid credit card within 24 hours or the reservation will be cancelled.
Smoke-Free Hotel
The Cabot Lodge is a 100% smoke and flame-free property. Smoking of any kind (including vaping/e-cigarettes), is not permitted. Guests will be asked to leave without reimbursement and assessed a minimum $250 cleaning fee if it has been determined that they have been smoking, vaping or burning candles or incense in any part of the hotel.
Quiet Hours
Please be respectful of other guests at all times, especially when enjoying our lounge. Quiet hours are 10pm to 8am. Any violation or disturbances will result in a $100 fine charged to the guest’s credit card. More than one incident and that guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement.
Nuisance
No guest shall be in possession of any item or act in such a way that is dangerous, illegal, or a nuisance to other guests or staff. If extra staff or the local authorities are called to the premises for such a violation, that guest will be asked to leave without reimbursement and a minimum of $250 fee will be charged to the guest’s credit card.
Visitors
Guests may have visitors during regular business hours, but must get approval from staff to have anyone in the hotel after 5:00pm that is not listed on the reservation or else they will be asked to leave.
Age Requirements
Guests must be 21 years of age to stay at The Cabot Lodge, unless accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Damages
While accidents do happen, guests will be financially responsible for damage due to gross negligence.
Pets
Regrettably, pets of any kind are NOT allowed in any part of the hotel. If a guest requires a service or support animal, they must get approval before booking a reservation.
Force Majeure
The Cabot Lodge shall not be held liable for any delay or failure in performance resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature or any causes beyond our control, including computer, internet, telecommunication or other equipment failure, loss of data, disruption of utilities such as water/sewer, electrical service, heating or air conditioning, or any circumstance or disaster that makes it impossible or illegal to provide or use the Hotel’s facilities.
Guest Room Ladders
The Cabot Lodge is not responsible for any injury or damage of any kind to person or property from the use of ladders or accessing and occupying the loft in our guest rooms. Guests are hereby notified of the inherent hazards and risks and must use caution when climbing the ladders and occupying the lofted spaces. Parents or guardians should not allow children to access the loft without supervision or leave them alone unattended.
Accessibility
The Cabot Lodge is committed to accommodating all guests to the best of our ability; however, due to the petite nature of our property, The Cabot Lodge may not be fully accessible to every individual. While our Accessible Queen Quarters accommodation and common areas do meet Massachusetts state requirements for ADA accessibility, some guests may find that our space does not suit their individual needs.
Agreement
Your reservation confirms that the Guest agrees to the terms, conditions and fees of the Cabot Lodge and must pay the balance due in full prior to arrival. Failure to make the required payment by the due date may result in cancellation of the reservation without notice.
